autodeck Privacy Policy

autodeck ("autodeck," "we," "our," or "us") operates a Chrome browser extension and related website services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use autodeck.
By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
A. Account Information
When you sign in using Google OAuth, we collect and store:
- A unique Google authentication identifier (User ID)
- Authentication tokens necessary to maintain your session
We do not currently collect your email address or name.
In the future, we may request your email address or name to provide product updates, account communications, or marketing communications. If implemented, users will be provided clear notice and opt-out options.
B. Vehicle Listing Data
When you save a vehicle listing, we store:
- Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
- Price
- Mileage
- Listing URL
- Image URL (we do not store the image itself)
- User-created notes or tags
We do not collect dealer contact information or private seller information unless included in the public listing URL.
C. Technical & Usage Data
We store:
- User ID associated with saved listings
- Basic operational logs for performance and debugging purposes
We do not currently use analytics tracking tools.
In the future, we may implement privacy-respecting analytics tools (such as Firebase Analytics or similar services) to improve product performance and user experience.
D. VIN Verification & Data Enrichment
VINs may be sent to trusted third-party services for vehicle verification and data enrichment purposes, including:
- U.S. government vehicle data APIs (e.g., NHTSA)
- Future third-party automotive data providers
These services are used solely to return vehicle metadata. We do not authorize third parties to use VIN data for unrelated purposes.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Authenticate users
- Save and organize vehicle listings
- Display pricing and vehicle information
- Improve product performance
- Provide user support
- Develop new features
In the future, we may use aggregated and anonymized data to improve market insights and platform features. We do not use identifiable user-level data for external reporting.
3. Data Storage & Security
User data is stored in:
- Firebase Realtime Database (RTDB)
- Secure Google Cloud infrastructure
- Chrome local storage (for temporary browser-based data)
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard security practices.
While we take reasonable measures to protect data, no system can guarantee absolute security.
4. Data Sharing
We do not:
- Sell user data
- Share identifiable user-level data with dealers or OEMs
- Share personal information for advertising purposes
In the future, affiliate links (e.g., financing tools or related services) may be integrated. These third-party services will operate under their own privacy policies.
We may disclose information if required by law or legal process.
5. User Controls & Rights
Users may:
- Delete saved vehicle listings at any time
- Delete their account
- Request data export by contacting us
- Request data deletion via email

6. Cookies & Website Data
On autodeck.co, cookies are used solely for authentication purposes.
We do not currently use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
Future analytics tools may use cookies to improve performance and usability.
7. Children's Privacy
autodeck is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Geographic Scope
autodeck is currently offered only to users in the United States.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted at autodeck.co/privacy with a revised effective date.
Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
